When I firt bought this game years ago I played it for hours on end. It was and probably way outdated still is. I'm not very good at management so I always ruined my city in simcity games but this one was alot easier and fun, even though it was for children I still liked it ( I was only like 16 at the time. Best part is you can look inside the houses and see and get information about the occpants. I'f my memory serves me correctly I beleive you could also follow around the sims when they drive and walk and click them to get more information about them or even name them (the naming I THINK was possible). Great game here. I almost exploded in my pants when simsville was announced because it looked like this game but ten times better, then they have to go an cancel it. So if you wanted simsville this is the next best thing. Simcity4 is ok but you need to be really good at micromanagement to keep your city happy.
