Sins of a Solar Empire is an RTS lover's dream. The pacing of the game is just right. Perfect balance of strategy and direct combat. The large talent tree type system makes for a game that is highly competitive. As you pick and choose (especially early in the game) what the most important tech boosts are important to you and your strategy, the dynamic of your Empire and your Fleet is greatly affected. In my opinion the Space Battles themselves are truly epic. There is something really great about watching your Fleet crush an opposing factions ships through superior size and technology. The game eventually gets repetitive after you play it enough, but that is inevitable of any game. Overall, I think the 9.0 given by Gamespot shows just how strong a game this truly is. I have not tried the expansions but I'm sure I will in the future. I highly recommend Sins of a Solar Empire to anyone who loves strategy games, with a creative and exciting flair!
