For Die Hard Survival Horror Fans Only, VERY Steep Learning Curve

User Rating: 7.5 | Forbidden Siren PS2
For the first 10 hours I played this game, I would have given it about a 3 or a 4 out of 10. Along with many other people that played this game, I thought the game was too tough, unfair, and very frustrating. But I stuck with it. Now I can practically beat any mission in the game without dying once. It IS possible, it just takes alot of playing and alot of patience. You must know WHEN to attack your enemy, attack at the wrong time even in close combat and your weapon will not be effective. Examine the animation and routine of your enemies and plan out your next move.

+ Has a very definitive and original style to the game, easy to see how this game became a cult classic

+ Story and plot is fun and interesting, archive items are fun to go through to piece out and understand the SIREN story

+ Cut-Scenes are Brutal and Artsy, cool mature comic book influence

+ Provides an insane challenge for those that are looking for one

+ Graphics are pretty good considering it is a PS2 game

- The game is BRUTAL hard and unforgiving, enemy fire hardly ever misses, very weak and bad battle mechanics, AI of computer is often dumb and frustrating

- No save function, you can play for an hour or so, die by something stupid, and have to restart everything

- The "Static" sound as you sightjack gives you a headache after a while

- Puzzles are insanely abstract, "Lets put this gas can on the side of the shed to climb on top of it and see if we can find that shirt we're looking for, oh there it is!" .Very stupid.

This game is the hardest game I have ever played, not due to the plot or action, but due to the games problems and shortcomings. Only get this game if you love horror games and also love a crazy challenge.
