skate., simply put, is a skateboarder's dream video game. This game is everything fans of real skateboarding have wanted since about Tony Hawk's Underground 2. (That game was just awful, but I won't stray off topic) It has skateboarding's style, culture, flow, and flair all done right. The only reason I didn't score this game a perfect ten are for two reasons. One, it didn't have quite the recording and editing features that I have wanted out of a skateboarding game for as long as I can remember. And two, it really didn't have a system for flat land tricks. I am a diehard street skating fan. And the exclusion of a flatland trick system didn't bother me as much as it should considering this is the first of a hopefully long line of skate. video games, and the rest of the game was VERY well done. The flick-it trick system is amazing in every definition of the word. It LOOKS and FEELS like real skating. I for one, will never be able to enjoy a Tony Hawk game again.
