I don't think I have much to say about this game, you have to get it for yourself, but I will try. Tony Hawk has been the skating behemoth for many years, and it took just one EA game to take it down. Skate is the realistic experience that both gamers and skaters alike have been waiting for! Instead of pressing some stupid button combo to get a hardflip, you have to do it yourself, with the revolutionary "flick it" controls. To get an ollie (jump for skating game newbies) you simply hold the right analog stick down, and flick it up as fast as you can. You also have to flick it opposite for nollie (front bend jump for skating game newbies), and in many different directions for flips. You also must just barely push the stick up or down for a nose/manual. This is hard at the start, but in a while, you will get it. This game makes you feel freaking awesome after a simple combo, unlike TH. In TH, you could land a 900 mctwist, and be like, "meh, what do I have to do next," when, in skate, if you landed a blunt grind on a high ledge, and jumped off with a hardflip, you would be like, "Oh, my gosh, I can't believe I pulled that off!" Besides the skating mechanics, which are all the game is really about, it has good graphics, a good soundtrack, and completely awesome levels!! Also, there is this thing that you get in career mode if you bail hard enough, called Hall of Meat, which will show the bones you break. This game is currently owning the sports games, incase you don't know, and it is definately the best skating game ever, even if there is an annoying cameraman that folllows you all the time, and yaps all the time, it is worth your money.
Reasons why i need new underwear every time i play 1. Back to realistic skating 2. A **** camera angle 3. Reminds me or good old thrasher 4. You don’t have to grind 10 cows to go to the next stage 5. Because a button ... Read Full Review
