Skate. What a great game large endless streaming city. Lots of challenges which eventually do get quite repetitive!
Create-A-Character: The create a character was a bit of a let down after things like fight night by EA and I know this sounds cheesy but tiger wood's and more had greatly detailed create a characters. This however has about ten if that hairstyles not much customizable in the face or body. Lots of clothes and things like that but once you've got a sponsor on your board wheels shoes and trucks if you aren't wearing that company's trainers for instance the sponsorship relationship goes red and you don't get money off of them for using there equipment.(Duh!)
Multiplayer: Multiplayer on this game online is great. You must choose between levels though it won't just stream the whole thing but truely it is massive. Online you have a series of modes my personal favourite is freestyle. Just go around the level trying things you haven't done before or want to show friends in a private server or the world in a public server. There is also spot challenge mode where you're given a spot, the person with most points after I think 3 rounds wins. Offline multiplayer isn't so good as there is no freestyle just S.K.A.T.E. mode also know as horse.
Or spot challenge so I just hope you ain't like me and don't mind challenging all the time!
Controls: The new controls in this game are amazing the flick-it is revolutionary(hence why a chose the game a revolutionary!) X / SQUARE or A / X is push RT / R2 or LT / L2 is grab with different hands then you use the right stick which is also used for also etc. to tweak it into some form of grab.They work well with the game and are easy to get used to the basics but if you are a skilled gamer its easy to pick up the advanced controls too!
Skate. Reel: Now this new skate. reel thing they have done is genius even though the editing tools are probably some of this simplest around. You are give 30 seconds of clip to edit with screen effects slow mo speed up and a simple trimming tool. The one thing missing from it that would have been easy to put on soundtrack and a bit more time for recording. That is easy solutions they could have changed. One other thing I wouldn't mind would be like a master editing suite where you could take clips you've saved put them into one large video with a good soundtrack of your choosing, possibly even off of your hard drive.
Overall: Overall it is a great game and if this is what it's like in its first year I cannot wait for years to come as Tony Hawk has had 9 years to perfect it but then Skate. comes in on its first year and completely laughs in Tony Hawk's face.
Tony Hawk you should be ashamed.
