One of those games I found myself playing until 4 a.m.
However, there are a few things that keep this game from being as great as it could be.
graphics: this is a gamecube game, but the graphics reminded me a bit of ocarina of time, a ninentdo 64 game. (and is it just me, or does fina also have a striking resemblance to zelda? oh well, that's beside the point.)
difficulty: this game was terribly easy. the only times i died in my whole game were against piastol and rupee, two side-quest bosses you're not even required to fight in the game. random encounters are usually over in one turn, the enemies are so weak. also, the incredible abundance of gold never leaves you having to be conservative and just buy what you need most.....you're able to buy everything you need, and everything you don't need.
I also seem to be running into the whole "evil empire looking for ultimate power kidnaps mysterious girl" plot a lot recently. It was still unique enough to keep you pretty interested throughout, though it was lacking the big twists that i enjoy in plots.
So i spent the whole time talking about what's wrong with the game. hmm.
Still great.
