It's a blast. That about sums up Skies of Arcadia Legends for me. This game shocked me with the originality and amazing weapon color change system (I just thought that was the coolest thing ever). The ability to pick out an enemies weakness and instantly adapt to it was one of the most useful things i've seen in an RPG. Of course the story is intriguing, holding my attention all the way through. Also...you get to fly an airship, who doesn't want to fly an airship? I've had a number of friends complain about the lack of manual airship control in FF games and here was my answer for them. Anyways, back to the game at hand. The combat system (besides the weapon changing) was not much of a surprise, typical yet fun random encounters. All of the added features like treasure/bounty hunting, finding ruins, and airship battles are what really make this game for me. It is not only a story driven masterpiece, but gives so much more to the player and allows them to reach beyond the limits. I enjoyed this game so much and if any of you out there are looking for a good RPG to pick up (and not to mention of cheap) this is exactly what you're looking for.
