Waste of time today, but in 1986 it rocked
I loved warplanes as a kid and this game was perfect for me. You can strafe, dogfight (sort of) and bomb...also, if you do a loop, then some dancing girls skirts will flip up...
Basically, to a child, this was a wonderful game.
I remember one Sunday after church I made it further than I ever had in the game. We had to eat lunch with my grandparents that afternoon and I remember being so nervous because I would lose my progress (this was before saving was a common feature).
I actually LEFT THE NINTENDO ON but turned the television off for about two hours. When we got home, I took my mom's camera and took a picture of the screen so that I could send evidence of my score to Nintendo Power magazine and be honored.
(No doubt Howard would be impressed!).
To my GREAT despair, a week or so later when my mom got the film back, I discovered that the flash on the camera had reflected from the television so I was left with a photo of a white blank screen!!!!!
Heartbreak. What a game, though.
