Awesome game. Real tennis fans will highly enjoy it, while non-fans who want an arcade-type tennis game won't like it.

This game is incredible. They have pretty much the best cast of tennis players in any new tennis game made to date and best of all, this game is the closest to real tennis you can get. 12 female and male players including Roddick, Safin, Serena Williams and Anna Kournikova among others. They have all the surfaces as well as all 4 grand slams which are identical to the real life stadiums. The players play like their real counterparts (Safin/Serena hit huge, Henin-Hardenne has a big backhand, Kournikova/Hantuchova/Haas/Gasquet are all around players, etc.) This game incorporates the use of timing your shots so it really forces you to stay focused during every rally to hit the best ball possible. It gets dull VERY fast if you become really good at the game because the AI wasn't made strong enough to give experts a match, but if you find a friend who is good at this game you can have some real battles. The create-a-player bit wasn't made as good as other tennis games because you are very limited with the appearance of your players so basically everybody looks similar. the tour mode goes very deep and leveling up your player to their max ability should take some time. Graphics are very good, players look identical to the real players themselves, and each player has 5 different sets of clothing they have worn in their 2003 season, the only exception is Serena since she was in the middle of switching from Puma to Nike at the time. I recommend this game to tennis enthusiasts, as others probably won't like it as much.
