If you like Sniper-oriented games, you'll truly get your money's worth with this gem of a game. This is for ps3.

Yesterday, after starting this game on the day of its release, I finally finished it!
10 action packed missions to which I died numerous times, so many in fact, that if I had a dollar for each time I did, I could probably stock my shelf with the next few installments of Sniper games for the ps3.
A lot of you will say "What's wrong with this guy, I finished this game in 3 days, well technically, I did finish it in 3 days, it took me 68 hours, 46 mins and 10 secs to finish.
But you see, I have this thing called a life and I play when I have time, which is mostly on the weekends or when I have the place to myself, NOW, that being said, on with my review…….

PROS:
The first thing I noticed when I put SEV2 in was that the graphics were great, better than it's predecessor, which you would have expected anyway since it was made for a better game machine.
The next thing I noticed was this game relied heavily on stealth kills because during the game, you would hear bomb blasts or a guy squawking over an intercom and you'd have to time your scoped shots/silent kills/machine gun kills with these intervals so you will not be heard but in some missions? You're not so lucky; there is an old standard in the Video Game world……"When the music cranks up, you're screwed!"
And in no case is that truer than in this game, you get set upon with everyone shooting at you, they come from all sides so all you can do is take out as many as you can, as fast as you can and if you are lucky, you can kill them all and the music will go quiet again.
Also, during the missions, you can collect Gold bars and shoot at bottles that you find in various locales as bonuses, while I did attempt to find as many of these as I could, my main focus was staying alive and getting through the missions. I only shot at the bottles when I found them while I was scoping for heads.
One of the Neatest things about this game is the updated bullet cam, which was available in the first SE for the ps2 but this one now includes an X-Ray Cam that lets you see the results of your scoped shot, some of them could be a bit gruesome but anyone that plays these games really don't mind that anyway.

CONS:
Up until I was ¾ of the way through this game, I had a major complaint that none of my checkpoints were being saved once I got to them and then turned the game off so when I turned the game back on. I had to start the level all the way back from the beginning, which totally frustrated me and probably added many unnecessary hours to the game where they weren't needed.
But then one day I loaded the game up and I received an update that fixed that problem, so from then on, when I got to a checkpoint, that's where I started when I turned the game back on so some relief there.
The one thing that I noticed wasn't fixed was glitchy AI, in some levels, it looked like you were shooting at an enemy shooting gallery, they would just go around in circles, back and fourth, it was ridiculous but I finally nailed them anyway.
Then I got the biggest kick out of the fact that no matter how quiet I was in some levels, in the prone position, crawling in the dark, an enemy AI stationed at a MG turret yards away saw me and started shooting at me, this I thought was a bit strange as well.
Then during the game I noticed some Enemy AI blending in with some doors so I said to myself "Hmm, if they can blend in with the doors, maybe I can shoot them the same way", so I did and they fell…Glitchy, but effective.

Overall, I would highly recommend this game to anyone that likes Sniper games, it's better than Sniper: Ghost Warrior IMHO.
