If you can forgive some minor issues & are a patient and calculating gamer, a great title.

User Rating: 7.8 | Sniper Elite XBOX
Sniper Elite is quite entertaining - if you enjoy a slower paced, suspenseful, thinking-man's shooter.
It is quite satisfying to recon an area, position yourself undetected, and then take the shot. With the game's sniping system, each shot is memorable as you account for gravity, wind, and other variables. And each shot counts because (at least at the top 2 difficulty levels) the AI respond with a vengeance if you miss. You need to relocate after 2-3 shots to prevent them from zero-ing in on you. And you need to have considered your egress route prior to squeezing the trigger.
Even though the targets are placed in the same location with each play-through, the game does retain some replayability because you can choose different vantage points, routes through the map, etc. And the AI is surprisingly versatile - they might run for cover, flank, try to rescue a wounded comrade, or suppress versus the same shot from the same location.
The bullet cam is a great feature, and you will find yourself keeping track of your best shots (such as a 145 yard head shot versus a moving target from concealment) and getting a little blood-lust when you spot a counter-sniper on a rooftop at a distance and try to line up the perfect shot.
The game does break new ground by focusing exclusively on the sniper, and chooses the close of WW2 and the start of the cold war in Berlin as an original setting.
The graphics are average, and comparable to first generation titles for the Xbox. If you consider how the original Ghost Recon looked on Xbox compared to Ghost Recon2:Summit Strike - Sniper Elite falls in alongside Ghost Recon 1. It does have some clipping and other issues, but these are minor annoyances. You will find yourself loading save points and replaying certain areas repeatedly, trying to survive.
Overall, a decent game IF you are a patient and calculating player and can forgive some minor graphical drawbacks and are willing to reload and replay segments. I am enjoying it more the longer I play it.
At present, I have not tried multiplayer, because I am trying to beat the 23 mission campaign, so I cannot comment on the multiplayer aspects.
