SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1

Some great games at a bargain price.

Anyone who was lucky enough to have a Neo Geo can fondly remember alot of these games. Magician Lord, Sengoku, Metal Slug, Samurai Showdown, Fatal Fury, and Last Resort are all fantastic games. The other games are decent too, but nothing that really will amaze you. Still, with a price tag of 14.99 (online), you can't go wrong.

Although the sound is pretty archaic compared to new systems, during the early 90s, I absolutely loved the brash,"in your face", sound effects. The graphics are very colorful, twhich has been the trademark for SNK. This is probably the best retro compilation out there right now

Hopefully future editions will have Windjammers, Nam, Fatal Fury 2, and some other classics. But for now, this compilation will do fine. For a system that made its name on street fighting games, there is alot of variation on this disc. A great buy for retro gamers !!

  Better than Namco Museum.

  In my opinion, this is better than Namco Museum. There are 16 games. Art of Fighting is the origin of the fleshed-out story mode in fighting games. It's also the origin of the spirit bar that limits use of special moves.... Read Full Review
