SOCOM 3 US Navy SEALS for those of you who don't know is the third installment in the long running SOCOM franchise. SOCOM lets you command a four man squad of elite US Navy SEALS. The game is fantastic! There is an 18 mission single player campaign and also amazing multi-player online capabilities. The Single- Player is very accomadating to new-comers which is nice over the previous installments of the game that have been punishing at first. The game is also nice because only in the later mission is stealth really required so it lets you become the hero, unlike in the other installments where stealth was everything. Another great addition to the game is the much larger maps and drivable vehicles. THis is really nice because it lets you move around the battlefield in heavily armoured vehicles. Th final really good addition to the game was the save checkpoints which are stratecigally placed and prevent the game from become a real difficult game this is nice for people who want to just play the Single- Player or are new to the SOCOM series. The online for this game is great with many people always playing. The only downside is that it is not very welcoming of new-comers because of people that are very good and they can sometimes be jerks. Overall this game is a fantastic all around game. It is much better than the previous two and is much more easy to get into, also the addition of save points and drivable vehicles really opened this game up. I would highly recommend this game to anyone, whos interested in modern tactical shooters or just wants a great online experience, but even if you are not one of those people then you should definetly consider renting it. If you've played any of the other SOCOMs before and loved them then most definetly you need to buy this game! Also if you found the other SOCOMs too difficult I'd give this one a try it is much easier to get into making it much more worthwhile.
