Awesome online shooter!!

SOCOM 3 is a military First Person Shooter and is Sony's flagship online game. This ressembles Counterstrike in it's gameplay and overall feel. There's a huge community that still plays this game and finding a game that suits you is easy. The ladder system seems out of whack and exploits are sometimes used but if you find a good clan and keep playing with them you'll have a blast, like i did. I haven't noticed any lag during the online games i played which is a nice surprise. The different types of online matches are all interesting and needs to be tried at least once. This game tracks you stats and you add people to a friend or ignore list. You can even send some in-game emails if needed. Overall.. this game is very impressive on the online front.

Offline, this game is just an above average shooter. You'll get to play in 3 different campaigns that includes some nice cut-scenes between and during some of the missions. If your 3 computer controlled teammates were smarter this game would of fared better on the Offline front. The graphics are not spectacular but at least the character models are nice.

The music is really great! The musical scores in some of the missions adds greatly to the sense of urgency. The gameplay is fine, but i wish you could switch items a lot easier...

I didn't find the single-player campaign to be difficult due to the numerous checkpoints in which you can save your progress, regain most of your health and ammo. The only hard part was the final section of the game. It is not a long campaign as i had it finished in under 8 hrs. The online part can give you unlimited hrs of great fun!

This game is only recommended to people looking for a great online experience... and this game is exactly what it offers!
