Ok, I am a fan of the socom series, but this one is by far the best one yet. If you have broadband, this is a MUST!!

Where do I start, oh man where do I start. This game is amazing!!! I cannot even think of one thing that is not amazing about it. Whether you have liked the old socom games or not, I can pretty much guarantee there is something you will love about this one and will keep bringing you back for more. First off all, I know a lot of people(including myself) aren't big on shooting games for the consoles because its hard to aim. Well, I don't know what they did for this game, but it has gotten a lot easier. That was probably my biggest complaint with the old socoms. If you don't like playing in first person, you can switch to 3rd person so you can see your guy, or vice-versa. The night vision, thermal goggles and awesome zoom capabilites of the guns makes the game that much better. The graphics, I mean I am a pretty tough critic when it comes to graphics, and I thought for sure they would have to be worse with the huge maps that are now loaded from the disc, but somehow the graphics are even better. How do they do it? As I stated, the maps are HUGE!! It feels like you're in real life or something, going from one end to the other feels like it takes forever! You can swim above or below water to sneak up on people, or to get to your boat. Yes, I said your boat. You can pick any seat to sit in by going to the areas of the boat with arrows by them and pressing X, and that usually entails either being the driver or a gunman. This is especially awesome when playing online because if you have a headset, you can tell your other players to get in the boat(or other vehicle, there are a lot, can you say tank!) and go after people and gun them down. The single player game, in case you can' t tell yet by the review so far, is awesome! Way better than any socom game to date! Multiplayer is awesome, the only problem I have with it is now if you want to play ranked games, add buddies or anything else cool like that online, you have to have a credit card. I guess they don't actually take any money, its just to verify your account so people don't cheat, but I don't have one so I guess I'll always be playing unranked games, which is fine with me, its still awesome! Ok, I know I'm leaving something out here, but let me just say, do yourself a favor and get this game! You can usually find it used on ebay pretty cheap, but if you just have to have it new, it is still well worth the price, especially if you have broadband and wanna play it online! So stop wondering and just buy it, I promise you will not be disappointed!
