User Rating: 8.7 | SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALs PS2
SOCOM II:US NAVY SEALS is a great sequel to a great game. What’s new in this sequel is the voices, maps, missions, weapons and tons more. One of the things that you will notice is Kahuna and Boomer are gone in this sequel. Jester assumes command with some other Navy Seals. The missions are much larger in this game and sadly the intelligence of your enemies is very low. You will easily run around killing everything in your path with ease even in the most difficult level. The voices of the characters are very disappointing too. None of the voices from the first one return which would have been great. The voices sound uninspired and rushed. It would have been great to hear the old voices for the old SOCOM characters. The online play is what makes this game worth the buy really. You have twice the many maps to play and twice as many weapons to choose from. The old maps have been changed somewhat and the new maps are quite good to play except from a couple horrible ones. The good thing from this sequel is that there is no cheating online. Sony did well with their DNAS to catch anyone who would want to cheat. This game is a must buy if you want to play online. What else is there to play online for the ps2 that is worth while anyways?
