This game is pretty cool, but singleplayer doesn't have a lot of variety. But online makes up for everything!

This game should not be missed. Basically this game is designed for the player to take careful and calculated long shots and remain undetected. But with the new addition of the shotguns, a whole new door is opened up for run-and-gun type fans (myself included :) ). In the game you travel to Albania, Brazil, Algeria and Russia, which all look and feel like the real thing. Online is where SOCOM II shows its real strength giving the player cool new mission types and locations. The only downside is that the enemy is almost too smart for you to sneak up on them and be stealthy througout the whole game. Seriously, if you really want to turn a game like SOCOM into a stealth game, look to Splinter Cell or something because sneaking around is really f&!*#^% hard! This game is a real advancement over its predecessor and is still a good game even with other shooter giants around.
