Worth it ONLY for online play. Single player mode is ho-hum. Now, if only Ziipper would release the maps they promised. It's been nearly 5 months since the HDD came out, and we haven't had word one. I've had this game since day one, and I've played it over 300 hours online. I would expect a little more communication from them regarding this. If you can't/don't/won't play online, you should probably just rent this game. It can be beaten in a day, and the single player replay value is quite low. If they had made the voice communication in the single player voice activated instead of requiring a button press, then this aspect would be quite useful. However, you'll find that 20% of your commands are misunderstood or ignored. This is a problem in that gameplay actually stops while you are giving orders. You'll find it easier to just use the onscreen menu when issuing commands.
