This game is just fricken awesome! I'm talking about the online mode of course. There is so much you can do when playing Socom 2 online. You have a friends list so it's easy to find friends in that massive list of servers, the massive amount of servers lol, lots of maps to play on, you can view your stats and the stats of other players, you can see clan rankings, edit your options including your taunts and player profile, it's just pretty cool. The gameplay is just amazing. Using the headset to talk to your teammates, choosing from a huge selection of guns (favors the seals, don't dissagree, you know the seals have better weapons lol), choosing a character to control, and then going at it on one of the many maps. The map detail is pretty dang good, whether you are in the jungle or in a building, your surroundings are very cool. You have to experience this game for yourself, it can't be described. To be in the middle of a clan match, you're the last guy left, outnumbered, what a rush haha. The only problems would be the glitches in the maps, like you can get into walls on some spots on maps, not a huge problem but it can get annoying sometimes. Another problem is unequal firepower. The seals gained a lot of new weapons in S2, and they definitely out shoot the terrorist's guns. Lag is also a pain in the butt, but there isn't much you can do about that. For a new player, this game will be pretty hard at first, but don't worry, after about 20 hours, you will start to get the hang of it, and that's when the real fun begins! You may be wondering why I rated this game as if it was 8 months ago, this is because a little while ago, all of the stats were reset, and this totally ruined the game. Lots of great players stopped playing, noobs were overrunning the servers (sorry all of you new players/old players who just stink), and it just wasn't a fun game anymore. I wish all of you who plan on buying this game could have played it as I played it, because that was when the real fun was. Oh well, a little advice, if you want to stand a chance in Socom 3, buy Socom 2 and start getting the hang of it, because Socom 3, I predict, will be much more competitive, and should be the best Socom yet!
