Essentially the same game as SOCOM 3. Essentially. Problems adressed inside...

Ive been a SOCOM player since the second game. I've loved all of them, they are great military experiences. With this title, they've expanded on the SOCOM 3 software with more weapon attachments, though you can still only have two on the gun at once (unlike whats portrayed on the cover of 3). And thats about it as far as i can tell. Overall i think the game is very entertaining. Recommended for SOCOM players of course. And i still think it to be the best real world military shooter for the PS2.

The Bad - The A.I. feels as if it has taken a huge step back. For the SEAL team, anyway. I dont see any problems with the enemys. But i'll tell you right now, If you play SOCOM for single player (which i do) you will find yourself doing things OVER and OVER if you want to do them right. I even have the strategy guide and the A.I. for my team is always doing stupid stuff. Wether it be falling off a ledge, falling down a ladder, not doing what you tell them to (have to repeat yourself several times), getting stuck on the environment, not being able to climb up a supposedly climbable wall.. These issues will happen constantly.

Last Word - Even though the A.I. frustrates me beyond belief sometimes, if i find myself executing the missions correctly, it still gives you that great badass feeling you get playing past SOCOM games. I recommend getting the guide, makes for a great experience. Thumbs up.
