IMO, this is better than the PS2 SOCOM.
1. Is it worth the Money?. Well If you want it for Online and the Single player , then possibly yes( ihavent played it online, but from a few friends that told me , Yes online is great). If you Want it for JUST single player because you dont have online for it yet, Then NO... For single player its worth $20. I got it on a website for $20 luckily, i wasnt going to pay $40 for this simply over the bad things i heard about it.
2.Is the Aiming/shooting bad?. No. Its actually really cool. It has TARGET aim which means of course you just push R and it puts a box on the bad guy to shoot. Its not hard to do.. The snipering is actually fun. You can sniper with many of the guns.. youjust put a scope on it.. And there is diffrent range scopes. Its fun pulling off Head Shots, But it takes allot of practice since the Analog stick is really unsteady , But once you get use to it, its not suchj a challenge anymore.
3. How is the levels?. The levels are Better then on like Socom2. There are 13 levels. Each Level is really fun to play. On some levels it seems IMPOSSIBLE to be stealthy. But it can be done.
4. How about the storyline?. If you have played Socom games you probaly know socom is more about gunning then putting together a Storyline.its Basically like other Socom storylines. Your trying to Take down the Enemy, And Taking out there plans. There is 13 missions. And they are all simple, But the last mission is Challenmging but nothing too hard.. The last mission is what i call the " Head Sho mission" because you can hang far behind your enemy and get your close up scope and aim at heads, And get a better grade.
Sound. The sound is REALLY Good. its Almost sounds Partly Real. Its not as quite as some of the PSP games. It really drags you into the gameplay with the sound it offers
Difficulty. Its Hard at times, But you can slip right through most of this game very easily. There are challenges, but not very many, And some of the challenges aint that hard Because you can slip right through some of them to. Like i said, The last level is the MOST CHALLENGING. But any of the Capture Missions is slightly hard. but not too bad. Moving your character and shooting/aiming an Feel weird at first , but it takes about an hour to get a hang of it. The Graphics. Amazing graphics, it can also drag you into the gameplay. When the storyline videos play after doing SOME of the missions It looks really good, and In video the Soldiers and enemys look real. It even looks better then PS2 socom. Im not disappointed at all with the Graphics.
to fill you in about some of the rest about this game. Instead of doing certain things to unlock Stuff. This time around they give you earned CE.. which its points you can get after finishing each Mission, And doing other BONUS stuff while on that mission gets you more CE.. with the ce you can unlock stuff for your Custom Soldier... Which i think is only available during infrastructure??? but you can buy Guns,Fighting accesories like diffent scopes, laser dot, knifes, and back up weapons.
Depending on hhow much you play this game, It can be beat in 1 to 2 days.. I beat it im 2 days.
I beat the game, and i still find the replay value way up there. I beat the game on ensign, and now im starting to beat it on Elite.. Which actually isnt that hard... I can honestly say that game is fun, and i dont understand all the reasons Players dislike this game Soooo much.. Yeah the target aim gets frustrating because you cant always see in front of you.. like if your standing on a hill, the terrorists under you got a free shot, and you just hope your target gets a hold on him before he kills you.. But its nothing to be a baby about like some of the reviewers act.. to CAPTURE is difficult aswell, but yougot to gunbut em a few times and they will finally serender. BUT you nearly die in the process :D. Also Wraith or whatever backup man you choose ,Can get glitchy and he can get stuck in walls or whatever.. or he just freezes, but SOMETIMES calling out a command gets him unfroze.. If that doesnt work just plan on finishing up the level without him.
Alltogether, This game is really amazing, And is meant to be in your collection Only if its just for Single player. But at the current price for $40, NO. If your getting it simply JUST FOR single player, Get it used or On sale somewhere.
Socom FTB2 is so far my favorite Socom game. Great job Zipper. Thumbs up!
