A short campaign and lackluster graphics redeemed by great controls, a strong presentation and an engaging multiplayer.

Had I reviewed this game last week, I'd have said that, for an action title, this game nailed the control scheme better than any so far. But having played Syphon Filter since, I can't do that.

This game's really worth playing because it's solid, well done and engaging. The multiplayer is strong and adds value to a game that, after a very short campaign, really needed it. I must have finished the campaign in what seemed like 5 hours.

Had that been the completion of the game, I'd be giving this a score a few points below where we are now. But the multiplayer saves this and makes it worth not just renting, but worth owning.

Another high point in this game is the sound with all the authentic touches youd' expect from SOCOM and a well-done score.

The graphics certainly leave something to be desired. Textures are often poorly translated to the handheld, but SOCOM has never been known for its graphics to begin with.

The controls, as I mentioned, are great. They're smooth and intuitive and allow you to be immersed in an experience as authentic as the console game's.

Worth your money.
