socom is the best ps2 online game so far. Its tactical gameplay is some of the best in a videogame. the single player is done very well with about 11 missions in all. You can command your team and tell them what to do through your headset or off a list of commands But the thing that makes socom shine is its online mode with some very good options like a clan system and a pretty good rank system you can take up to 16 players put them 2 teams and battle it out and all with little to no lag you can play 3 online modes hostage rescue bomb defusal and elimination. Yes, socom is a great game, but all games have there faults, and in socom online there are alot of people who just want to be stupid and use cheat codes which makes gameplay unfair for the rest of us non-cheating people, but the developer of the game should put some kind of anti-cheat software, but i'm not saying there are not ever going to be cheaters but it make it harder for cheaters to cheat, also another thing you could meet some pretty cool people online, but usually you rarely see the same person twice so to keep track of your friends they should added a buddies list instead of hoping that your new online friends are on. another bad thing about socom is the ai in the single player, you could be like 3 feet in front of the person and its like he does'nt even know your there. what i'm trying to say is there is basically no challenge in single player mode. Thats all i have to say about socom and all in all i think its a great game. i my self get consumed by socom online.
