My Response: Socom the game that took military gaming into a new perspective in 2002...i didn't get the game till 2004 when it came out as a Players Choice game. The game itself is intruiging in all aspects as of story and misson briefings...making you feel like you were part of a team... single player always a thumbs up but i would have prefered a Offline Co-op instead of the online (which there is nothing wrong with online) but with people with 56K like me...can't do much. Back to the game... the weapons offered into the game itself felt real..but not as real as customizing them like the real commandos do, team communication is perfect with the code words of zulu, bravo, alpha, gamma, etc... to make one or more team members move to that location, the stealth could have been better, but then when is anything perfectly quiet?? the shooting is a good with the aiming system using the other analog joystick. the missions can be a little hard on the head if you don't know what you are doing, but overall... collecting enemy weapons incase of low ammo definitly beats going unarmed.... Socom is a great game to play, own, rent, or whatever you do.... but you definitly have to be dedicated if you want to beat it in whatever time you want to beat it in. (yeah i know..spell check)
