This game is brilliant! The only thing it lacks is multi player co-op!
The power-ups have there own way of cutting threw enemies and bosses/mini bosses. If you feel like cutting threw a fast paste and finishing off weak enemies go along with the (green) power-ups. Or if you feel like buzzing the heck out of them and trying to not let them get even 2 feet close to you then your weapon is the (Blue) power-ups. And there's much more! Even an option that helps you!
The levels are great and the enemies sprites and patterns go along with the levels atmosphere.
The music is one of my favorite parts! It's classic; and it will keep you pumped up for the mission you are trying to accomplish.
Everything about this game matters and you will enjoy every second of it! The only thing that bothers me is that a friend or someone can't enjoy the game with you at the same time; multi player co-op.
But other than that this game is a masterpiece!
And there are other modes to play like Hard mode and Challenge mode.
Challenge mode concept is a bit different than story mode.. you will have to survive threw a level for 5 or 2 minutes; (your choice.)
Also, in option mode you can turn it into Arcade style that doesn't really do anything but makes the screen thinner from left and right.
Overall, the game is a classic! Great presentation before the title screen, great graphics, and plenty of shmupy moments! Add this to your Wii console now if you don't know what you're missing!
