I prefer the first Sonic Advance over this, simply because its too slow compared to other Sonic games.

The Sonic games never cease to surprise me, they are just plain fun and extremely fast. Now imagine a Sonic game without speed, a terrible thought indeed. This game has plenty of speed, and that is great, but some character-combinations can result in a more traditional platforming experience without any of the insane speed we all know and love from Sonic games. The characters are also reduced in speed due to some horrible level design. Most of the games bosses are excelent and challenging, but i also find some of them to be very unoriginal. If you are a Sonic fan you should get this right away, but this game probably won't recruit any new fans. I highly recomend the first game to everyone, but this game does not always feel like a Sonic game but more like a traditional Mario game with additional speed.
