I haven't played the original. But this is still one of the best Sonic games on the GameCube!

User Rating: 8.5 | Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut GC
Sonic Adventure was revolutionary. it released on the Dreamcast and mixed action-adventure, 3-D platforming, and a pinch of speed together to make a wonderful game! Sonic Adventure DX might not be as prime as its original, but it's still worth the money anyway. (if you do have the original then only buy this if you can get it cheap) (and if you have a gamecube) So on with the review!

Voice-Acting: 8.0/10 - Stop complaining about how girly Tails sounds and just play this game. It's the manliest he's ever gonna get.

Graphics: 6.0/10 - they make the characters look absolutely awesome but everything else looks exactly like the dreamcast graphics. (not that they are bad but Sonic Team could've a least done that much to make the humans look better too)

Gameplay: 9.5/10 - It's a heck of a fun game! Minus 0.5 for all of the glitches and times the character will get stuck in the wall or fall right through the wall and die. Still solid.

Controls: 10/10 - beautiful as ever. Although they didn't put a C stick on the controller for nuthin, why use L and R to control the camera instead of C stick?

Music: 10/10 - classical Sonic soundtrack and catchy tunes = Solid!

Camera: 7/10 - Ya know I never really have problems with the camera myself in any games really. When i do have problems i normally just ignore it and keep playing. But when it gets stuck in the wall, man, thats annoying.

Difficulty/length of game: 10/10 - Its pretty hard and long overall. Not the longest or hardest, but it ain't a cake walk.

Story: 8.5/10 - OH, trust me. There's been worse. *koff*billy hatcher*koff* But the story is acually pretty good.

Overall: 8.5/10 - because Chao rock!!! AND also because its fun. No matter what version of this game you pick up (DC, X360, PSN, GCN, whatever comes next...) I do encourage you all to play this game, because its a great one!
