When starting up you are limited to a number of tracks and a number of characters to race with but with a neat system that awards points for every mile travelled you will soon unlock tracks, characters and music. You have the option to play single races against both friends and the CPU, also against the clock and different events like 'conquer the flag'. What makes Sony All Star Racing great is the verity of characters and tracks. The controls are pretty tight and fit the game well. Even the music is a joy to listen to and don't get repetitive. With just the right length of the tracks this game is great when having friends over - and beating the kids or get beaten racing as memorable characters like Chu Chu is just pure fun. If you like and need a game both for kids, adults or just about anyone in between this is a must have game.
