If you haven't played Secret Rings, then get that first, but this game is better than Secret Rings!

User Rating: 8.5 | Sonic and the Black Knight WII
Sonic and the Black Knight is SEGA's new Sonic title. Black Knight, in fact, is the sequel to Sonic and the Secret Rings (I give Secret Rings an 8). The opening sequence starts with a wizard named, Merlina by King Arthur, then she gets surrounded by Arthur's minions. Merlina cast's a spell to summon an knight, who so happens to be Sonic (yeah, what the Hell?). Merlina teleports Sonic and herself to a safe place where Arthur isn't at. King Arthur's knights of the round table's are Lancelot, Percival and Gawain. Shadow plays Lancelot, Blaze plays Percival and Knuckles plays Gawain. I won't go any furter, but Sonic has a sword called, Caliburn and for some reason, he can talk! Tails also makes an apperence in this game as the Blacksmith (oh theres a shock!). Also, Amy's in this, and she plays the Lady of the Lake. But suriously, why couldn't Tikal from SA 1 & 2 play as her, she'd fit her perfectly! A bad aspect about this is that Dr. Eggman isn't in this! Now onto gameplay, well the controls are pretty simple. You press the A button to jump, and if you press it twice, then he'll do homing attack, but it's pretty usless. But, if you press it three times, then he'll do a homing cancel. Press the Z button to guard for a limited ammount of time, and if you press the B button, there's a special move that I'm not going to spoil. Last but not least, shake the Wii remote to swing your sword. Of couse it had to be motion controls, but I wasn't dissapointed about that, because I'm used to motion controls. The graphics, as usual are spectacular! Whatever SEGA are doing with them, they better not stop! The sound is magnificent! Crush 40 did a great job with their new song, Knight Of The Wind!

Overall, Sonic and the Black Knight is a great game. With tight controls, great music and graphics, this game gets an overall score of...

8.5/10- Great!
