Sonic with a sword? This may have been the change we needed for a Sonic game...

The Sonic Storybook series is nothing less than brilliant. Both the storybook games (the first being Sonic and the secret rings) change the game play which is what many of us wanted, seeing as most of the Sonic games have lately been stinkers. Ex. Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), and Sonic Unleashed, which definately is better on the Wii, but is still a stinker because one half of the game is epic (Sonic), and the other half is an epic fail (Werehog). But this game has a great story mode to follow despite its shortness. Putting Shadow, Knuckles, Blaze, Amy, and Tails into the story playing as other characters is amusing. Battle mode is great with friends. And checking out Rankings of other players using Wi-Fi seemed to be a good use of Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. If you got the game, beat it, and thought you'd be tired of it, you'd probably be wrong. I would certainly recommend this to any video game player, and would certainly call this one of the best Sonic games of all time. :D
