Nothing special. Just another disappointment.

User Rating: 2.5 | Sonic and the Secret Rings WII
If you've played one of the other sonic games, besides the older ones, you'll know the poor quality of this game.

Story: 1.5/10

Basically, Sonic has to save a book. Arabian Nights, to be exact. Big woop. What happened to stopping Robotnik from building doomsday devices? Sonic's gotten so boring that the best he can do is save a book? Anyway, he's sitting there, and all of a sudden a genie tells him that she needs Sonic's help to save a book, and he gets warped into the book. The whole story is pretty boring.

Graphics: 7/10

The graphics are actually pretty good, but the cutscenes are just lame. Except one or two of them, where they're actually animated. And during gameplay, they could be clearer.

Controls: 1.5/10

Oh, don't get me started. The controls are so lame. Sonic runs on his own, and you tilt the Wii Remote to steer. you can brake or jump, and you do a homing attack by pushing the Wii Remote while in the air. It's really boring, and you could probably win while asleep. Oh, and all the cool stuff, like running on walls, you don't play. He just does it on his own. But in the old games, you actually ran and stuff...

Gameplay: 2/10

It can be kinda fun at some parts... but mostly, just repetitive and boring. You just run and jump. That's fine in 2D, but horrible in 3D. It's seperated in missions, so sometimes you race, or kill a certain number of enemies, etc. Extremely lame mini-games, too.

Flow: 1.5/10

It's not that glitchy or anything, but as I said, it is really repetitive and just gets boring real fast. I wish I could be more descriptive, but... that's about it... repetitive and boring.

Characters: 1/10

You meet a few characters in the game. Most of them are just look alikes of other characters in turbans. I'm not kidding. Almost all of the enemies are the same. They're ghosts or something, and they really just sit there. Sometimes they breath fire. There are a couple other kinds. The other characters, Shara and Erazor Djinn, are genies. Shara is extremely annoying and follows you around everywhere, kinda like Navi in Zelda: Ocarina of Time, only Shara is a million times worse. Erazor Djinn is the villian. He's a genie that's trying to erase the Arabian Nights for no reason. And everyone has really bad and annoying voice acting, of course.

Replay Value: 1.5/10

My question is, who would want to replay it?

Difficulty: 2/10

For the most part, it's really easy. But sometimes there's just an enemy or something that just kills you over and over and you don't know how. It's pretty frustrating, although some parts can be a little challenging without being frustrating.

Length: 6/10

It's kinda long, with a few worlds and lots of missions. But most missions are the same thing.

Overall Quality:2.5

I would only recommend this to people who like the new Sonic games, but I'm still confused as to why they like them.

Most people would probably disagree with this, but then again, most of the people that would are hardcore Sonic fanboys. Unfortunately, I'm a fanboy for the old Sonic games.
