Unlike his sequel, Sonic Drift 1 is far more repetitive and has less character to choose from.

In Sonic Drift 1 you play has Sonic, Tails, Amy and Dr.Eggman. Which is the first problem here the lack of amount of characters to choose from. In Sonic Drift the gameplay is all about racing on a straight course with a few turns here and there while trying to catch up your opponents. In Sonic Drift 2 there is a few obstacle ideas here and there however in this one the gameplay is far way too simple. Graphically for his time is decent but could have offered a bit more. Sonic Drift 1 is pretty hard to recommend if you really want to try this series you better go and try Sonic Drift 2 instead since is more varied and more complex but not completely. Sonic Drift 1 is just a broken racing Sonic title.
