In this game you control four different players: Team Sonic: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles; Team Dark: Shadow, Rouge, E- 123 Omega; Team Rose: Amy, Cream, Big; Team Chaotix: Espio, Charmy, Vector. Every team can do a move called Team Blast. It' s a move that is super strong. In the end you also get a team called Team Super Sonic: Super Sonic, Super Knuckles, Super Tails. They fight a old foe gone worse. Metal Sonic has the powers of all the team charcters and even Chaos himself. Eggman is also in the game he is almost every boss in the game. There are three kind of bosses: Simple boss with a high energy bar, swarm boss and a team vs. team boss.
