Well, this is the third Sonic game that has been released for next-gen systems, and it seems that Sega still hasn't fixed the annoying control and camera issues. Th main problem isn't the core mechanics of the game, but their implementation in the game. For example, Sonic and Knuckles both have attacks where they'll lunge at enemies willy-nilly. That's not too big of a problem - the problem is the fact that the game's controls are so loose yet cumbersome, most times while launching these attacks, the camera won't keep track of your character, and this, more often than not, can lead to cheap hits from enemies, and even worse, unnecessary deaths (falling of cliffs, for instance). The graphics are very vibrant and colorful, as with all Sonic games, and the sounds are decent (save for some of the grating voice acting...Sega must think that anyone who plays this won't be over the age of five). The story...Who's kidding who here? Sonic games have never been about story (I still don't know why the producers continue their attempts to make all the recent console-bound Sonic games overblown sagas, and not just a series of fun pick up and play games) I can only recommend this game for fans of the last two 3D Sonic games and fans of Sonic. If you've played the entirety of the two Sonic Adventure games more than once, then I congratulate you for your perseverence and patience, while pointing you in the direction of Sonic Heroes. I know I'm not playing this game anymore. I only hope Sega will attempt making more polished Sonic game. Is it just me, or does everyone of the new 3D Sonic games play a bit like a grphically superior (yet aesthetically inferior) version of the great Sega Saturn classic, Nights?
