Not Really a 'Mario Party' rip-off after all
Lets start with game the boards, they are actually pretty good and creative, and most of the mini-games are fun. The graphics are good too, bright, and cartoon-ish, and is the only game that has Sonic and friends cel-shaded.
Audio is good too, can't say anything good about it, but can't say anything bad about it either. For the gameplay, you have sets of cards, and as you would guess you use them to determine where you move and in battles you need the higher number. There are power-ups too, to help along the way.
Overall it really is a good game, but, now its time to address that nagging flaw I mentioned, and thats the difficulty. Its not hard because of the challenges, its hard because the A.I. cheats.
95% of the time your opponents will get the best cards, and 95% of the time they will always win thier battles, and 95% of the time they will use thier powerups against you, instead of one of the other CPU characters.
You can win but it will take time and luck, so with that said it really makes a better multi-player game.
Bottom Line, It really is NOT a Mario Party rip-off, and it really is a good creative game, despite the A.I., so if you have 3 friends who will play with you and you're a Sonic fan then I say buy it.
