Ahhhhhhh the good old days, when 8bit was super powerful, hand helds were just mythology, the only pcs you found were only dedicated for office use and the internet....Whats that? welcome to 1991 an era of my life where I was a wee sappling, only at the small age of 3 just abot to turn 4! little did I know mind that on the fateful day where i grew a year older I would get sucked into a culture that would take over my life! And its all thanks to this fella! Sonic the hedgehog (if you have only just been born or sleeping for the last 15 years) is a platforming game based around our little blue protagonist here. who zipped around the 6 zones of mobius fighting the war against the evil dr.Robotnic, creator of sonic and an evil army of robotic drones which are powered by cute little animals called flickies. The aim of the game was to collect as many rings as you can whilst you travel at breakneck speed. whilst at the same time avoiding traps, defeating robots and foiling robotnics plans. at the time this game was an amazing achievement and saw by the world as a phenomina! the graphics were incredible and seeing sonice rolling down steep cliffs to be flicked at the bottom into a load of rings and running into hoops which he would zip around like it was normal was jaw dropping sztuff! over all this game is an all time great! Its also one of the games I hold close to my heart and always will do! as it sucked me into the gaming phenomina and gave me my first true hero who is now also my mascot!
