One of the best 2-D plat-formers ever.

I can't really go in depth like the recent sonic games because all this is is a classical fun 2-D sidescroller. But being my favorite Sonic game, I'll review this. Remember, this is MY OPINION!

GRAPHICS 9/10
-These were some very beautiful graphics for the time. It might be a little lacking in color but it still is pretty colorful. The speeding effects also look spectacular.

SOUND 8/10
-While it may not have the best soundtrack of the games, it still is a pleasant sound to your ears. The sound effects are also really good.

STORY 7/10
-It's kind of lazy how they just put the same plot as the old one but at this point it wasn't a big problem.

-SPEED 9/10
My god does he move fast. There aren't a lot of moments where he moves super super fast but when those parts happen, they are just amazing to watch.

GAMEPLAY 9/10
-My only minor complaint is the somewhat non linear level designing in certain areas, but everything else works great, looks great, and best of all is fun. I would definitely recommend it whether its the genesis original or mega collection. Definitely.
