This title overall maintains all of the same specs as the original to a t. With the addition of a 3d bonus level, a co-op, versus, and new character, this second coming has been hailed by many as the greatest Sonic of all time.

The game itself holds many of the same characters, level styles, and bosses being truly monumental the franchise.
Now with new moves, more levels, and more intricate designs, this game deserves no less than an applause.

Sound: High (iconic)
Music: High (iconic)
Game Play: High (the same style with minor tweaks for improvement)
Replay: Above average (the sheer difficulty makes this game less available to casual and inexperienced gamers)
Controls: Above average (much improved over the previous version, easier and more fluid)
Story: Low (not necessary for the time or genre)
Graphics: High (style continued)

Personally this sonic installment was not my favorite due to the difficulty of the game. Still I can admire it for the work done to it.
