I love Sonic, disagree with most Gamespot reviews on Sonic games, but this is the worst Sonic game ever. It's just crap.

I love Sonic, I couldn't believe the reviews from Gamespot on Sonic Unleashed, Sonic DX, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, etc. But this is the all time worst Sonic game. And I'm usually the one that tries to protect Sonic from being complete crap so when I give this game a bad review, you know that it sucks. There's a lot of reasons why this game is BS but the biggest low point for me is the loading. It takes about a minute to load a 2 second cheesy scene and another minute and a half to load the actual game. I'm serious too, on one mission when you die it takes 50 seconds to load and then, all the guy has to say is, in text, "hmm, not enough." then it loads again for 67 seconds! No joke! About as bas as that, if not worse, there's one mission, you answer it correct or wrong, it takes 45 seconds to load "correct!" or "sorry, that's incorrect" and another 60 seconds to load back to the start where you can play again. So you wait for it to load, try again, wait for a long load, and the cycle goes on. There's at least 4 rounds of the mission and all it is really is breaking the box with the number on it. So doing that takes about 10 seconds. Really the loading is longer than the gameplay itself. I can't speak for the camera angle and controls because I had no problem at all with them. But what I can say is that it has some of the most pointless missions ever. There's one called "find the captain" and all you have to do is keep pressing "A" because the guy was playing a joke on you. SEGA must have thought it would be a good laugh, but it was actually quite annoying. Another was the most pointless mission in a Sonic game ever. "The test of love" you would pick between Amy and Elise and the man would ask you "is (name) really the one?" and nothing would change one bit. There are 2 more missions before that and they were pretty pointless too. I think the first one was the test of speed(I forgot because I sold my copy), I know for a fact that the second one was the test of strength. All you did in the second one was destroy robots, and that was the one with the "hmm not enough" speech. Most of Sonic's levels were boring missions around the city like find the boys. All that was was basically playing hide-and-go-seek with a bunch of stupid boys around a big city with a time limit which was incredibally frustrating. There were more stupid missions than high speed levels like you would want in a Sonic game. You won't enjoy Silver the Hedgehog's levels either, he's slow as molasses and although it might sound cool to fly around and use telekenesis, it's like watching grass grow. And Shadow's levels, I was hoping it would be better than Sonic's because there weren't going to be stupid, boring missions but Shadow's levels were boring too. It's not easy to do his super Chaos powers. The biggest dissapointment in Shadow's levels to me was that he isn't faster than Sonic like in old times. But one good thing is that the driving vehicles is pretty good. So Sonic and Shadow are the only ones that have a bit of fun in them. Another thing that's good is the multiplayer. That's probably the only thing that I enjoyed playing fully. Overall, don't buy this game. If you want to torture yourself playing this game, rent it. This is the worst Sonic game I've played. The only things that stopped me from giving this a 1.0 were:
1. Multiplayer is good
2. There are a few fun speed levels in Sonic's story
3. Driving on Shadow's story is fun
4. VERY good music
5. Graphics are GREAT
Just don't fall for those few things, remember the loading is the biggest thing that sent this down the crapper IMO. Load time put together is more than game time put together. Terrible game!
