start of by choosing your character, either sonic alone, tails alone, or play the classic sonic 2 with sonic and tails. there may only be six levels but each has 2 stages with a boss at the end of each act.not to mention there twice as long as sonic 2.also a new ability, when you press A in the air a quick sheild appers for less than a split second. now to get to the speacial stage you have to find a well hidden ring then go through a special stage where you have to collect all ther blue balls.but be prepared the longer you stay the faster you get.once youve collected the emeralds, after collecting 50 rings, double jumping will turn you into the imfomas Super Sonic.thats when it really gets speedy.the new save option not only will put you at the begining of the level you were last at but it also saves the emeralds you get so you dont have to collect them again when you turn the game off.its my 2nd favorite game of all time.first is sonic 2
