Sonic's third iteration in the series is arguably the best in the series, offering massive levels, and better minigames.
Sonic 3's gameplay is so incredibly fun, it's almost unbelievable. If you thought the levels were huge in the 2nd game, you haven't seen anything yet. The stages in Sonic 3 are absolutely MASSIVE, and possibly the best part about exploring them, is finding the uber huge ring that teleports you to a minigame, which, might I add, is totally insane. It's almost like the other minigames in the series, but you are collecting blue spheres and changing them to red ones instead of collecting rings. You play these minigames to collect Chaos Emeralds, and your reward fo collecting them all, is total power. But undoubtedly the best part about Sonic 3, is the ability to save your game. Yes, in any level, in any stage, you can save your game, instead of starting the game ALL over again, which is a total lifesaver.
The graphics are simply beautiful to look at. Everything looks simply amazing, and once you get deeper into the game, you'll definetly see what I mean.
The sound is like heaven to listen to. The music, the sound effects, EVERYTHING sounds outstanding. Of course, it IS a Sonic game, so that would be understandable.
Overall, Sonic 3 is unbelievably outstanding, even for a sequel. And the inclusion of yet ANOTHER playable character, offers even MORE reason to go back to this wonderful game.
