Sonic 4 takes Sega's famous blue hedgehog back to his 2D roots, and the result is quite satisfying.

User Rating: 10 | Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I X360
Graphics: 10/10 The graphics of the game are clear, colorful, and the animations are good. I remember the beautiful colors the first time I turned on my Genesis as a kid and played Sonic. This has a similar effect.

Sound: 10/10 The classic Sonic sound effects are all there, and the music is definitely Sonic-esque. I really don't have anything to complain about here.

Control: 9/10 The controls are generally smooth, but jumping is a little weird if you don't hold the direction all the way through the jump. Other than that, it's classic Sonic control.

Content: 10/10 Simply put, this is everything a Sonic game should be-- I'm happy Sega decided to get rid of the 3D nonsense for this game, and I hope to see other Sonic games like it. The game is highly reminiscent of the first two Sonic games. It's a bit short, but it's only episode 1. I hope the remaining episodes are as satisfactory as this one.
