A fun 2D Sonic game for the Game Gear.

Gameplay: The game plays like the classic Sonic games for the Genesis/Megadrive, but doesn't feature as much. You run through 6 zones with ether Sonic or Tails. Each zone has 3 acts. Sonic can go really fast, but Tails can fly. Act 1 and 2 are a short action stages. Act 3 is the boss battles. The game can be beatin easily in about an hour. While playing through the game, you also need to make sure you get all of the Chaos Emeralds. Sonic Chaos isn't as fun as the 2D Sonic games for the Genesis, but it’s pretty decent to play through once in a while. Graphics: Once you get past some of the pixeled textures, Sonic Chaos is a pretty decent-looking 2D game. The game is colorful and acceptably detailed. The frame rate can slow down sometimes while running or going to certain areas. But overall, the game looks decent. Sound: The music is good and fits well with the game. The sound effects also fit well too. This could be the best Sonic Game Gear soundtrack as a matter of fact. Conclusion: Sonic Chaos is pretty short and there isn't too much to do, but its pretty fun to play every once in a while. In you still have your Game Gear, pick this game up as this is a fun game to enjoy on the go.
