Gameplay: Back in 1991, Sega gave birth to Sonic the Hedgehog, one of the most popular video game characters of the 1990's. The first game was so amazing to many people during its time. You run through action stages by running through loops, jumping on platforms, and spinning through walls. There are a total of 7 zones, with 3 acts in each. There's even a good and bad ending. To get the good ending, you have to collect 6 of the Chaos Emeralds. The boss sequences are very memorable. Sonic the Hedgehog might not have the best gameplay that other Sonic games feature, but its still fun and very good for a first time game for Sonic. This is turly a Genesis classic. Graphics: Very colorful backrounds and characters. The enemy designs are very elagant. During its time, many people were impressed with the 16-bit graphics this game could perform. Even today, it still shows some super colorful textures to our standards. Sound: The music is very historic. Some of these songs have been reused for the later games of the series. The sad thing is there isn't enough music in Sonic the Hedghog. Oh well, the music is still very good. Conclusion: Like I said before, Sonic the Hedgehog isn't the best game ever. Because it doesn't have some features that current Sonic games have. But this game is turly oringinal to many people, including myself. Any Sonic fan would like this game, and Genesis gamers will not be dissapointed in this game.
