I don't think I need to explain why this game is good, but the way it's being distributed through the Virtual Console is a total joke. For starters, anyone who owns a Genesis/Megadrive will more than likely have this game anyway. Second, it has been re-released in the form of gimmicky compilations over many different platforms, even on mobile phones. Lastly, it's a short game anyway. As great as this game is, it is nowhere near worth paying for this download. Simply pick up a cheap copy of Sonic Mega Collection and you're good to go with 7 classic Sonic games. But yeah, if Sega hadn't milked their mascot to death in the last few years I would probably recommend buying this.
