This is Sonic's first game ever. Although it's lacking in speed, compared to the others, Sonic has his awesome rolling abilities which help him to get past obstacles.
The fact that the game doesn't feature Sonic's spin-dash move makes things a little bit less fun, but this doesn't ruin the game at all.
In the Special Stages, Sonic istrapped in 360 degree rotating maze and must find his way to the Chaos Emerald.
The music of this game is fantastic and very unique.
You can find this game on "Sonic Mega Collection" and "Sonic Mega Collection Plus" for Gamecube, Xbox, and PlayStation 2.
