A complete letdown! What were they thinking
Graphics: Sonic unleashed isnt the best looking game but its not terrible the day time levels look nice ranging from many places across the world and night levels are alright too nothing spectacular
Game play: Day levels play alright. At first i loved this game. Here you are speeding through these levels the way sonic should and having a blast at the same time. The first one is amazing. But all good things must end I guess as after that you have a night level. I didnt mind it much at first as i thought meh its not terrible. But as you go on and night levels take 15 mins to do and then you get 1 day level which is 5 mins it start to take its toll. Night levels require you to just press buttons to attack then do some time consuming platforming. The platforming is bad sometimes ill press the button to extend my arms and just drop. I mean you have to do leaps of faith and hope Sonic gonna grab that platform or else. Also the camera is bad at night levels too. For me it got stuck behind things and was a real pain most of the time.I dont get it? why add the werehog, the game was fine without it.
Sound: The music is alright. Found myself humming some of the music of the day levels. The night levels i dont remeber music till you found mosters then you got this werid music but it wasnt terrible. But one thing that was disappointing was Crush 40 wasn't in it. I love them. Live and Learn, Open your heart, those were such epic end boss songs in the sonic adventures games and i miss it. Anyway the theme for Unleashed isnt horrible its alright.
Replay Value: You can play some levels afterwords and visit eggman land after beating it but i dont see the point after beating this game i doubt youd wanna play it.
Overall: Its not worth money. Like another reviewer said just get the demo. This game is killed by a terrible camera, bad controls and bad platforming elements. The night levels are so repetitive you wont be able to stand them. I only finished this game for the trophy.
