A little different than I'm use to. But I was not disappointed.

Hmmm, where to begin. This game unlike most NIS games takes you away from the individual character. It makes you build squads of characters. Which are replaceable and do not have to be leveled, but can if you want to. The characters have good voice acting and most of the sound track is very nice. This game can go from being anywhere to total newb to extremely hard so watch yourself. Your characters are controlled by where they stand and who they attack with this leaves for a lot of combinations of attacks especially when it comes to story line characters teaming up. Theres a ton of endings, one for every storyline character and the storyline is very nice and in depth. They allow you to make choices throughout it which guide your final destiny. Not as many character classes as I'm use to but I got over it quickly when I saw the World Eaters. For the first time ever the bosses are enormous both on the map and in the battle. The maps left a lot to be desired looking like an actual flat map rather than terrain you're walking on but I can overlook it. The story is excellent theres no doubt about that. And after your first cycle through the storyline you're allowed to choose to walk the path of evil for a twisted story line never before done by NIS. You become downright dastardly as everyone you grew to love during your first play-through is now just another little lamb for you to slaughter brutally. There are some topics during the storyline that some might find distasteful but it's what also makes the story a little deeper at times. And GIG is just awesome. He most defiantly better show up in more than just this game!
