I must say, this one I was looking at for some time, and I am not at all disappointed. This game may not be like the other NIS games you may have tried, lke Disgaia, but all of the complexitys are still there. This time, in stead of commanding a handfull of characters, you have an entire army at your call, and whats more, you can hire any unit, and pump its levels, so you do not have to start a new unit at level one, which can be annoying at times. The micromanagement on each unit is not like the other games, but the squad selection usually makes or breaks you, as well as the combination attacks.

As for the characters themselves, well, it becomes quite interesting the farther you go along. The main meanie, Gig, well he is an overpowering, evil, self-serving jerk, but I love him. Each one is quite well done, and it gets more interesting the more you learn about each one.

In this game, you can do things you could not in the other games, like attack towns, beat on shopkeepers for high level items, steal from anyone, kidnap enemies, turn the entire town into an angry mob, and the list goes on. Still, this is not for everyone, but if you like strategy, or just being a meanie, that's what this game is all about.
